| The in-person meeting September 9, 2023 was attended by ten members. It was a beautiful but cool fall day in a backyard and all present wondered where the members who had been begging for an in-person meeting were. | Dennis Green presented his demonstration showing how audio limiting and compression destroy the sound of drums and the accompanying voices. The attendees heard examples of the most common limiting and compression types on Dennis’ pure digital recording and agreed all the examples of dynamic range modification destroyed the musicality as well as specific elements of tone. The program presentation is not suitable for a YouTube video due to the fact the music is copyrighted. |
